Fleck: Pattern Design

Bold and bright, Fleck was born out of my desire to create a “mod” houndstooth.

These sheets of wrapping paper are 22" x 34", printed on 70 lb., uncoated, kraft colored, 100% recycled paper using vegetable-based inks.

Inspired by a favorite childhood activity—building with the Eames’ House of Cards. The images printed on them helped cultivate my love of pattern! Do you remember them?

5 am: Pattern Design

Ever wonder what keeps Santa’s sleigh in the air? This pattern lays it out for you, illustrating the physics of Santa’s sleigh as it flies through the air just before dawn on Christmas morning. Though it portrays fictional physics, it fed my obsession with making patterns out of beautiful data.

DIY Boxes: Pattern Design

I love constructing things out of paper so I made these geometric boxes that can be cut out and folded together, no glue required.

The box is a ten-sided shape, formed from two squares, on the top and bottom, rotated 45° from each other. Joining up the corners creates the triangular sides. When folded together, the box is 2.5" across its largest dimensions.

It works as a small, gift box or a unique, decorative object.
