Rescue Me: Title Sequence

This is the final version of the main title sequence followed by my initial storyboard.

I was given a brief to design a sequence that reflected the gritty, day-to-day life of a New York Firefighter working after 9/11. I decided to keep the POV at ground level to emphasize the everyday aspect and use shots that felt both iconically NYC and ordinary at the same time. Mixing these with grainy footage of firefighters going about their daily business in the fire station seemed like a good way to accomplish the objective.

Using my board as a guide, Digital Kitchen then produced, shot and edited the sequence adding in their own logo design.

GMAC Insurance: Commercial

Storyboard for ad spot. These tongue-in-cheek direct response ads began with a guitar slinging narrator and unfolded as the song moved to describe a car wreck, a call for help, a birthday party being missed, and ultimately how GMAC saved the day.

Food Network: Promo

Storyboard for ad spot. Food Network wished to reposition themselves as a network that provided not just in-kitchen demos, but far-flung and dynamic adventure, culture and competition.

My solution revolved around combining imagery with colorful graphics, melding elements from the foreground and background to create transitions and draw the viewer into that world.
